Del Mar is an incredible place to visit, live, pass through, and be associated with in any way. There are so many things to do in and around the area that are so appealing.
Del Mar Real Estate
San Diego has been around for many years, but it was Del Mar and La Jolla that many identify with, as these two coastal communities have always been incredible vacation locations for people all over the world. I am pretty sure these two areas started as vacation spots for many celebrities, allowing them to escape really populated cities and enjoy nearby seclusion and privacy. Then celebrities and others with extra money purchased properties in the area and started the expansion of the residential community of Del Mar.
During 
this time the Del Mar Race Track was constructed, drawing many more with money to the already wealthy city. As time went on the race track started to be used for other purposes like the Del Mar Fair and other annual events. These visitors allowed for Del Mar to expand within its community and then across Interstate 5 to form a new community that is often associated with Del Mar.
Whatever the case, Del Mar has incredible beaches, one of the more quaint and fun small downtown areas to discover, and regular events at the Del Mar Race Track.
The surrounding areas of La Jolla, Solana Beach, Carlsbad and Encinitas formed as a result of the natural advertising that Del Mar did for the area. Sure, UCSD also contributed to this incredible coastal growth
